Wildlife Rehabilitation Officers

Kristy Philliskirk is the President of WWC and has been a volunteer wildlife rescue officer since 2006 and has cared for hundreds of creatures from baby birds to Wedge Tail Eagle's. She specialises in birds and mammals such as wallaroos and sugar glider possums. She is passionate about animals and shares her knowledge with other registered wildlife rehab officers and community volunteers in Weipa.

Cassie Lobley is also a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator (WIRP 14074314) with WWC and is passionate about animals. She educates students about native wildlife in her classroom (EP WIEP14042914) and has a vast array of domestic and wild creatures from snakes and lizards to birds and other mammals. Cassie runs the online shop and can help you with anything you need for your animals at home.

There are also numerous community volunteers that work with WWC donating time and their homes to care for wildlife with support and guidance.

Many people and businesses in Weipa also donate cages and enclosures, their expertise, and vital funds to help the organisation to do what needs to be done.

WWC are also looking for more volunteers. If this is something you might be interested in, please click on JOIN US and read more information.
